We actually stayed for two nights at Walker's! What a cool place to visit! On Friday, we headed inside to check out their wines. We took advantage of their wine tasting, and discovered some wonderful honey mead and sparkling wines. We also ordered a charcuterie platter to go with our wine, yum!
Follow along as we head south each winter to escape the snow and cold of Maritime Canada to search out warmer climates!

Staying with a Harvest Host, Walker's Honey Harm, in Temple, Texas
After Austin, came a short stay with a Harvest Host "Walker's Honey Farm and Winery" in Temple, Texas (FYI, Harvest Hosts are farms that are RV friendly).

During our time at Walkers we decided to venture out to the country to discover the surrounding area. Just up the road we came across a quaint little town of Salado. A reborn community with a vibrant art scene, galleries, restaurants and a brewery. It's fun to discover places totally by accident!
